Karl & Sharon

... enjoying one of our kitties company!

Both Sharon & I have always enjoyed "cats". Their playful antics and devotion is second to none. After graduating from USM in 1970 with a BS in Biology and Mathematics, I have spent over 40 years  involving myself in color genetics.  This has paved the way for many moments of joy ... breeding, raising and showing many different species.

Being one to research everything before leaping.... Birmans stood out as my breed of choice. Not extreme in any aspect as with some breeds, the Birman has very few,  if any problems. I have always admired long coats, but some long haired breeds have an undercoat that requires constant combing to eliminate matting. The Birman coat is simple to maintain. Often referred to as "Rabbit fur", as its hair is silky and rarely mats.

Their relaxed and patient nature allows most Birmans to adapt easily to homes with children and other cats and dogs. They are intelligent and easily trained.

It made our decision an easy one!

Once you own a Birman you will wonder why you waited so long!

Today, we maintain a small number of breeding Birmans. As previously mentioned ... I love color breeding... my favorite colors/patterns are lynx and tortie. Sharon loves the pastel colors. Color genes that are possible from our Birmans are seal, chocolate, blue, lilac, lynx, red and tortie.

How can one not love their face?
